Invisi-Gard aluminium security screen windows provide homeowners a host of benefits.
Invisi-Gard security screen windows are tough and durable, so they can last for many years. For these to look good and to enhance their longevity, you also need to know how to clean security screens properly.
They need periodic cleaning using a non-abrasive mild detergent combined with warm water. When cleaning, always use a soft, non-abrasive cloth. Hand cleaning for home security screen windows is highly recommended.
Make sure to rinse all surfaces completely to get rid of all residue. You may use fibre brushes for loosening the dirt and grime, but avoid using abrasive materials. In remote environments away from the sea, city and industries, screen window maintenance may be done every six months.
But in urban locations, maintenance should ideally be done every three months. In coastal areas with salty air or places located within 10 to 15 kilometres of the beach, maintenance every fortnight is recommended, or at least after every month.
Invisi-Gard window security screens are made from 316 marine-grade stainless steel security mesh. Combined with an extruded aluminium perimeter framing, these security doors and window screens not only look great on all types of windows but also offer top-notch security benefits. These can also be customised to fit the exact style of your windows and your home.
Window and door security screens do not come cheap, but this is because they are meant to keep intruders out. Security screens are made using superior quality, tough materials that are better than ordinary screens. In general, a security window could set you back by $300 plus GST – but this is just the base price. The price of security screens can increase depending on other features and the material used.
Unlike removable insect screens on windows, security window screens are mounted permanently. They are also designed to be tamper-proof. This means cutting the screen mesh to the right size and installing each one in their designated frame requires the use of specialised tools. Installation is also more difficult and complicated than replacing a fibreglass window screen. So, for the safety and security of your home, it’s best to get these installed professionally.

While security screen quality may differ from one manufacturer to another, they need to be made in compliance with the National Construction Code and Australian Standards for security screens, such as:
